Just 2 Minutes Away

I’ve just taken the kids for a bit of a run to enjoy some of this wonderful sunshine we’re having at the moment. The summer in the UK has been a bit of a washout this year, so when the sun comes out, you really have to go out and soak up some of those rays. I must admit that I’m not all that keen on where I’m living at the moment. I’m in a new estate surrounded by garden gnomes and sparkling mud-free Rangerovers. It’s really not me! However, just two minutes down the road, and look what I find…

In Spring, there can be as many as sixteen swans, before they fly off leaving one nesting pair. This year it looked like the pair had been unsuccessful in producing any offspring, but then one cygnet finally hatched. They are such attentive parents! With the light dancing upon their snowy feathers, they really are quite breathtaking…
